Sobre o curso
A regulação da resposta imune nas doenças inflamatórias crônicas infecciosas e não infecciosas é um elemento central na patogênese e evolução de doenças de grande importância no Brasil e em outros países. Os pesquisadores convidados para este curso discutirão novas possibilidades em diferentes áreas, incluindo:
• mecanismos de regulação negativa da função efetora que estão presentes em doenças infecciosas, como hanseníase e leishmaniose, e também em tumores malignos e doenças autoimunes;
• alterações no metabolismo lipídico e o papel dos mediadores lipídicos nas doenças infecciosas crônicas;
• abordagens multiparamétricas para a análise de populações de células e moléculas no sangue e lesões que abrem novas possibilidades na prevenção e controle de problemas de saúde relevantes;
• análise multiparamétrica de leucócitos e outras células no curso de respostas inflamatórias crônicas.
O evento será transmitido para o Canal IOC no Youtube.
Devido ao número de inscritos ser maior que a capacidade do auditório onde será realizado o simpósio (Palácio Itaboraí, Petrópolis), algumas inscrições foram aceitas para o modo PRESENCIAL e outras para o modo VIRTUAL. Summary of the meeting:
The regulation of the immune response in chronic infectious and noninfectious inflammatory diseases is a central element in the pathogenesis and evolution of diseases of great importance in Brazil and other countries. The researchers invited to this course will discuss new possibilities in different areas, including:
- mechanisms of negative regulation of effector function that are present in infectious diseases such as leprosy and leishmaniasis and also in malignant tumors and autoimmune diseases;
- single-cell gene expression analysis; epigenomics
- multiparametric approaches for the analysis of cell populations and molecules in blood and lesions that open new possibilities in the prevention and control of relevant health problems;
- multiparametric analysis of leukocytes and other cells in the course of chronic inflammatory responses.
Goals:
- Allow graduate students and research professionals to have an up-to-date view of regulation of chronic inflammation in infectious diseases such as leprosy and leishmaniasis, and also in neoplasms and autoimmune diseases.
- Favor a discussion of recent advances in the evaluation of immune and inflammatory response parameters in blood and tissues. Methods such as multiparametric leukocyte analysis and metabolomics applied to chronic infection will be discussed in the context of relevant diseases in Brazil.
- Allow students, research professionals and teams of FIOCRUZ platforms to discuss their projects and plans in single-cell sequencing, multiparametric flow cytometry and new methods for dimensional reduction in data analysis.
- Open new opportunities in international collaboration for interested researchers and students.
